Who We Are & What We Do

  • Our youth staff provides students with encouragement, mentorship, accountability, and opportunities for personal growth.
  • We assist students in learning competent and appropriate social-emotional behaviors as part of our classroom community. Each student’s development and learning are guided by ongoing developmental assessment data and various experiences designed to expose them to opportunities they may not otherwise have access to.

Clubs & Partnerships

  • Flying Classroom: STEM+ Aviation – 13 week virtual program that connects STEM activities to everyday life. It provides hands on activities and lessons based on the global expeditions of Captain Barring Irving.
  • The Bay – Provides opportunities for our students to explore skateboarding, digital art, and e-sports.
  • Math Motivators – Provides help with homework and math tutoring for student’s 3rd-8th grade.
  • Performing Arts – Our students attend performances at The Lied Center throughout the year and participate in workshops led by The Lied.
  • Peer Group – All students at Malone, Kindergarten-8th grade participate in age-appropriate group therapy. The groups are led by Malone’s on-site therapist Lawrence Gardiner. These groups work to empower Malone students with knowledge, skills, and resources to better themselves and others. Family Therapy also available.

“One of the main goals of group therapy is to improve self-efficacy which is the belief in one’s ability to succeed despite present problems and odds.”

– Lawrence Gardiner
