Juneteenth is the oldest nationally celebrated commemoration of the end of slavery in the United States.
It marks a defining moment in American and Black American history—a day that symbolizes freedom delayed but not denied. More than a historical milestone, Juneteenth honors the strength, resilience, and enduring spirit of Black Americans who have fought for liberation, justice, and dignity for generations. In today’s world, its meaning is more powerful than ever—a reminder of how far we’ve come and how far we still must go.
