Juneteenth is the oldest nationally celebrated commemoration of the ending of slavery in the United States, dating back to 1865.

It was on this day June 19th, that the Union soldiers led by Major General Gordon Granger, arrived in Galveston, Texas with news the Civil War had ended and that slaves across the nation were now legally free.

Each year, the Malone recognizes this monumental moment of history with a bash welcoming the community to celebrate with us at Trago Park. We believe it is an essential key in bringing unity and prosperity. We have live entertainment by local talent, free food, bouncy houses, health and human services booth, and so much more.
